Microneedling

Microneedling
The process is called Collagen Induction Therapy and is used
- Texture and tone
- Surface scarring
- Fine wrinkles
HOW DOES IT WORK?
AN OUTSTANDING PRODUCT ABSORPTION BOOSTER
These superficial micro-channels also allow topical gels, creams and serums to be absorbed more effectively into the skin. Specific treatment products can be selected to achieve accelerated results. We’ll employ various topicals depending upon your needs
- Hyaluronic serums
- Lightening or bleaching serums
- Stem cells to multiply new young cells
- Vitamin C for strengthening and antioxidant boost
IS MICRONEEDLING NEW?
Microneedling has been used for decades in Europe in various forms, from blocked stamps to hand rollers to the new automated pens that make the process fast, consistent and for the most part, quite comfortable. Only in recent years have the public and physicians embraced the concept. (It’s almost as if something so simple couldn’t possibly work well, right?) But we’re discovering that this simple action of creating a tiny wound without heat or any other high technology works remarkably well.
WHAT DOES MICRONEEDLING FEEL LIKE?
The high-speed motor causes the needle penetration to occur very quickly which means it will feel more like a sandpaper sensation than needles. Some patients describe it as similar as the feel of a cat’s tongue. Scar treatments require longer needles which invade “nerve space” and thus, produce more sensation.
WHAT CAN BE IMPROVED USING MICRONEEDLING?
- Skin texture, color and tone inconsistencies
- Broken capillaries and large pores
- Scars, such as acne, burn or surgical scars
- Aging and skin discoloration resulting from sun damage
- Fine wrinkles and skin thinning.
ECLIPSE MICROPEN
Microneedling system to create controlled micro-injuries to the skin which initiates the skin’s repair process too naturally produce collagen and elastin. Microneedling is ideal for smoothing fine lines and wrinkles, improving acne, surgical and traumatic scars, as well as minimizing stretch marks.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT AFTER A MICRO-NEEDLING PROCEDURE?
You may feel a sensation similar to mild or moderate sunburn. Your skin may appear red or flushed. Mild swelling and tightness may occur. Beginning the day after your procedure mild peeling may be evident. The side effects experienced are temporary and typically resolve within 2-3 days. Total healing time is individual from patient to patient and greatly depends on depth of treatment, skin type, and skin condition being treated.
WHEN WILL I SEE THE RESULTS?
While many patients report an instant glow to the skin, definite visible improvement may take 2-4 weeks, with continued improvement for up to 6 months post.
HOW MANY TREATMENTS WILL I NEED?
A series of 3-6 treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart is ideal for optimal results. More complex conditions like deep wrinkles, advanced photo-aging, stretch marks, and acne scars may need 6-8 treatments. Annual maintenance treatments may also be recommended.
