Summer is nearing an end over the next few weeks. So when should you feel like its ok to stop using your sunscreen?…Of course the answer is never! Just because the intensity of the heat that we experience in the fall and winter seasons is dramatically less, it does not mean that we are not subject to UV energy. Not only do we get significant UV exposure throughout the year on sunny days, but even on cloudy days up to 80% of UV rays penetrate through the cloud cover. There is not a single day that you should be without sunscreen!
All you need is an SPF of 15 or 30.  So do yourself a favor and protect your skin year round. Your skin is your first layer of beauty!

Side-of-face
Finally, here is an extreme and dramatic example of what the sun can do to our skin. One side of this man’s face was exposed to a window next to her desk and the other side was sheltered from the sun by facing the interior of the room. Wow!
